Announcing the Integration of SIMIODE into COMAP
We are pleased to share that Systemic Initiative for Modeling Investigations and Opportunities with Differential Equations (SIMIODE) is integrating into the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications (COMAP).

COMAP Conferences & Meetings
Next Up: MAA (Mathematical Association of America) MathFest
August 5-8, 2026, Boston, MA
Be sure to visit the COMAP in booth 200 to find out about our modeling contests, membership options, and publications. COMAP staff will be in attendance to answer all your questions.

Math Modeling Contest for High School Students and College Undergraduates
Next up: Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM)® and Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM)®, Results Are Now Available

Mathmodels.org Membership
Welcome to the new home of Mathmodels.org
Powered by COMAP content, Mathmodels.org goes beyond our contests to make applied mathematics and modeling a year-round activity with problems, student solutions and commentaries. Teachers and students use the materials found on this site to enrich their classes and prepare for mathematical modeling competitions.

Refresh for Relevance
COMAP invites educators, undergraduate and graduate students to help refresh and modernize our rich library of mathematical modeling resources. Mathematics education is evolving, and what was relevant a decade ago may no longer engage today’s diverse students. The Refresh for Relevance Challenge is an opportunity to revamp classic COMAP materials to align with contemporary classrooms, new technology, and current best practices.

Discrete Mathematics: Modeling Our World NEW 5th Edition
Written specifically for high school courses, Discrete Mathematics: Modeling Our World is a new fifth edition of the formerly titled Discrete Mathematics Through Applications. It is designed to help you implement mathematical modeling in your classroom, in a way that promotes active learning, critical thinking, and fully engaged student participation.
Math & Modeling Contests
COMAP’s international modeling contest opportunities at the middle school, high school, and undergraduate levels challenge teams of students to solve a real-world application problem, present their solution, and win recognition.
Math & Modeling Resources
COMAP provides educators and students a vast array of resources for teaching, learning, professional development, and contest participation. Resources are multidisciplinary, academically rigorous, and fun.
COMAP Blog
COMAP is blogging! Check out our array of blogs addressing applied mathematics, math and interdisciplinary modeling, math and STEM education, and more.
