The Code of Support Foundation leverages the nation’s full spectrum of resources to ensure all members of our military, veterans, and their families receive the benefits and support they need and have earned. We work to eliminate the barriers between our veterans and the millions of dollars spent on programs designed to serve them.

Major General Alan Salisbury, USA (ret.), co-founded the Code of Support Foundation in 2011 to address the critical need for comprehensive support for military and veteran families. Recognizing the struggles and complexities these families face, COSF was established to provide wrap-around and direct case management services for those at risk of suicide and other negative outcomes. The vision of Salisbury and COSF is to unite civilian America, military America, and support organizations to strengthen the health of our nation, ensuring that our service members, veterans, and their families share in the quality of life they have earned and that all Americans deserve.

At the Code of Support Foundation, our dedicated team is the backbone of our mission to provide comprehensive support to service members, veterans, and their families. Our staff comprises experienced professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to their roles. From case managers to program support specialists, each team member is committed to delivering personalized assistance and ensuring that every veteran and family receives the help they need.

Our leadership includes individuals like Christopher Burnette, the Director of Development and Operations, who has extensive experience in the financial and development sectors, and Allyson Bowers, MAHS, Doctoral Candidate (EdD), the Director of Programs, whose dedication to caregivers stems from her own experiences. Our team also includes passionate case managers such as Caira Benson and Kelsey Lal , who bring firsthand understanding and advocacy to their roles, ensuring that veterans and their families are supported through every challenge.
