Getting Started

  1. Install and activate the Chess Podium plugin.
  2. Create a tournament and add players.
  3. Generate pairings and enter round results.
  4. Publish standings at /torneo/ or with shortcode.
  5. Upgrade to Pro for PGN, export, payments, live DGT boards, and branding options.

Live DGT boards (Pro)

Broadcast your tournament games in real time from DGT boards to your website. Requires Chess Podium Pro and Chess Podium Connect (free Windows app).

Setup in 5 minutes

  1. In Chess Podium admin: Overview → select the round → check "DGT live" for each board to broadcast → Save results.
  2. Use "Generate Config" to copy the API URL, tournament ID, and round number.
  3. Download Chess Podium Connect from the Download page (Pro users).
  4. Run CP Connect. Enter API URL, Tournament ID, Round (0 = current).
  5. Choose source: File PGN (same PC as LiveChess) or URL live (different PC). Select the file or paste the URL.
  6. Choose Start: board 1 = game 1, board 2 = game 2 — automatic mapping, no config file.

Two setups supported:

  • Same PC: LiveChess writes PGN to a file. CP Connect reads that file. Select "File PGN" and browse to the file.
  • Different PCs: PC 1 runs LiveChess and exposes an URL with the games. PC 2 runs CP Connect and fetches from that URL. Select "URL live" and paste the URL.
