Chess Podium was created by Marco Belemmi, a chess player, organizer, and developer from Cattolica, Italy.

Marco is a FIDE-rated chess player with international experience. In 2016 he represented Italy at the FIDE World Amateur Team Championship in Kaunas, Lithuania, playing alongside his national teammates.
He is president of Accademia Scacchistica La Regina, a chess club in Cattolica. The club promotes chess in the region and organizes tournaments for players of all levels.
As an organizer, Marco has directed the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th International Chess Festival Città di Cattolica (2019–2022), attracting top players from around the world to the Adriatic coast.
Beyond chess, Marco runs Hotel Boston in Cattolica—combining hospitality with his passion for the game. He is also a programmer and a long-time enthusiast of WordPress and the PHP/MySQL ecosystem. Chess Podium was born from the need to manage tournaments efficiently and share that tool with clubs worldwide.
