Stories of Independence

Canine Companions service dog Kate turned Erika’s life around in ways she never thought possible after experiencing a stroke. “Kate is my perfect match.”
"[Noodle has] given me the confidence to ask for help and not be shy about my disability. Together, we meet up with friends and go grocery shopping. Without him, I would be homebound. He helps me carry the load of living as a quadruple amputee.”
Evan, an 8-year-old with cerebral palsy and autism, found independence and confidence thanks to Kalvin, a service dog who helps him overcome daily challenges.
