I'm currently in my apartment, and despite being told by the shelter that I wouldn't have to pay anything initially, I'm struggling with utility costs now that I’m on my own with my child. I have a CITYFHEPS voucher for rent, but I'm worried about the utilities since I'm not working and don’t have family support. I applied for food stamps, which help occasionally, but it’s not enough. I applied for HEAP assistance for my utilities but got denied and reapplied, hoping for better luck this time. It’s really challenging being a single mom without financial help, and I wish there were more opportunities and resources to support families like mine. Thank you for considering the needs of single mothers. 🫶🏽🙌🏽

Beautiful home, but if I was the owner I would have invested some $$ in refreshing. Get rid of the wallpaper in the bathroom, replace the vanity, paint the yellow walls a neutral color. The kitchen could be kind of cool with a new floor and an updated stainless appliances - maybe a simple tiled backsplash and no yellow walls. For probably 25k it would have a much more move-in ready vibe. But it is lovely, and a great location, so maybe buyers wont care.
