The Solar Return (also called Solar Revolution) is a predictive technique which describes your astrological climate for a twelve-month period starting on your birthday. It is generally considered a valuable complement to transit and progression forecasts. It is widely used and often applied on its own. It is based on the precise moment when the Sun returns to the exact position it occupied at the time of your birth.

Depending on the place where you are on your birthday, the angles of the Solar Return may change. Some astrologers even choose to travel on their birthday to a different location in order to obtain a more favorable Ascendant or Midheaven.
