Our Sponsorships & Bursaries provide cash support to invest in our media art organizations, collectives and individual members!

Please note that you need to be an AMAAS member in good standing, to apply for our Sponsorships & Bursaries. To join or renew your membership, go to: amaas.ca/members 

Make sure your membership is up-to-date by March 31 in order to apply. If you are unsure, contact Sophia at projects@amaas.ca.

SPONSORSHIPS
Eligible for organizations and collective members

AMAAS will provide cash sponsorship for media arts related presentations, such as media art installations, performances, artist talks, workshops, screenings, and other forms of presentations. Sponsorships are available up to $1000, and you may only receive one sponsorship per year. 

BURSARIES
Eligible for individual members

AMAAS will provide cash support for media art related project development, workshops, travel, or education, up to $500. You may only receive one bursary per year.

AMAAS membership consists of media arts organizations, collectives and individual artists. By being a member, this grants you access to our programs and services including our Sponsorships & Bursaries, One2One Grant Mentorship program, and our biannual media arts conference.

DEFINITION OF MEDIA ART

AMAAS defines media art as independent artist initiated and controlled use of film, video, new media, audio/sound art and related media.
