ACSA invites faculty to submit for the 2027 Architectural Education Awards. Every year, ACSA honors architectural educators for exemplary work in areas such as building design, community collaborations, scholarship, and service. The award-winning professors inspire and challenge students, contribute to the profession’s knowledge base, and extend their work beyond the borders of academia into practice and the public sector.

ACSA’s 2027 student competitions will explore topics including community-based performance venues, climate-responsive designs, the eradication of forced labor in the building materials supply chain, and recreational buildings for youth. The 115th ACSA Annual Meeting: INSIDEANDOUTSIDE invites contributions that explore how current urgencies – climate, equity, technology, and civic responsibility – shape pedagogical priorities, and how architecture as a practice and architecture as a discipline may be perceived from both inside and outside our field. Educators, practitioners, researchers, and students are all encouraged to submit full papers, design projects & short papers.

In reaffirming JAE’s founding mission, established in 1947 as a venue for the dissemination of research on architectural education, this OPEN call welcomes submissions that engage architecture pedagogy in its broadest sense, addressing any area of the architectural curriculum and its related disciplinary fields. We invite contributions that examine pivotal historical moments in architectural education, critically interrogate contemporary pedagogical models and institutional transformations, or speculate on emerging educational practices and forms of learning that may reshape the future of the discipline.

The upcoming issue of TECHNOLOGY | ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN (TAD) welcomes submissions that address the design, theory, history, and implementation of adaptable systems in architecture, engineering, and the built environment.
