About the Program
Alcohol and substance use during pregnancy continues to be a concern in the United States. Ob-gyns are uniquely situated to help reduce and prevent alcohol exposure during pregnancy.
ACOG's Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Prevention Program aims to build the capacity of ob-gyns to integrate screening, intervention, and support for the treatment of alcohol and substance use disorders into their practice, and to generate awareness of the effects of alcohol exposure during pregnancy.
