AccelerComm was born from world-leading academic research into 5G signal processing at the University of Southampton. That research heritage is embedded in every product we ship.
Professor Rob Maunder and his team spent years developing and refining the algorithms that underpin our 5G Layer 1 IP before a single line of commercial code was written. That research foundation - protected by a portfolio of granted patents across LDPC channel coding, Polar decoding, and physical layer signal processing - means our implementations set the benchmark for what 5G Layer 1 IP can achieve.
That same research culture is active today. Our expert team continues working with standards groups on both 5G NTN and the emerging 6G NTN roadmap, which means our customers benefit not just from what has been standardised, but from what is coming next. The companies building the satellite networks of the 2030s are embedding AccelerComm IP today. That academic foundation translates into direct commercial outcome: IP that performs at the ceiling of the standard, across 5G NTN and into 6G.
