The ABA makes six awards recognizing individuals who have made major contributions to the cause of birds, birders, and birding. The prestigious awards are widely recognized as the highest commendations in field birding in the U.S. and Canada.

Our board of directors, comprising birders from around the ABA Area, sets policy and provides financial oversight for the association.

Meet the ABA's full-time staff, part-time staff, and contractors, responsible for all programming and operations of the association. The two dozen of us bring diverse backgrounds and experiences to the ABA, and hail from all over all over the ABA Area—but we are united by our love of wild birds and birding, and our dedication to advocating for birders everywhere!
