  • fun to use in addition to an SM57 on a guitar cabinet
F12: Floor Tom, Crack/Punch in a Kick Drum
F15: Overhead Drum Miking (great in producing clean cymbal noise)
  • Audix F series are my preferred low cost drum mics
OM-5: Vocals
  • my favorite hypercardioid dynamic for a good low end/mid range for live applications

  • fun to use for recording low end boomy vocals as well
Beta 58: Live Vocals
Beta 87A: Supercardioid condenser version of 58
  • my personal favorite for live vocals, with a vocalist who knows how to project
Beta 87C: Cardioid condenser version
Beta 91: Inside Kick Drum Mic
SM 58: Live/Recording Vocals
SM 57: Just about anything with use for a dynamic microphone
  • i primarily like it for snare and guitar cabinets
KSM44: Overall, really nice condenser
  • seen used well as room mics
