So glad that you dropped by. If there was some way to offer you a glass of champagne, a cup of your favorite tea or coffee delight, know that I would have a counter filled with such yummy things to share with you. Since technology has yet to allow this type of wonder, I offer fun articles and stories that hopefully will leave you enlightened and delighted.
A little about myself as a writer, it began in high school when I wrote page after page of romantic, lyrical poetry. Years later, I penned several novels, screenplays, and short stories in the fantasy, action, adventure, and science fiction genres. I have published several travel related and fact-sheet articles online. Eight different WordPress blogs currently keep me busy, the main one entitled, “Creative Musings” which showcases my own articles, short stories and novels.
In 1998, my screenplay “Sakura, Jewel of the Rising Sun” won the “Grand Award for Best Screenplay at Worldfest Houston and went on to be considered at such production companies as Disney and Paramount Pictures. As of yet, no movie deal has been struck, but this little detail will not deter me from continuing to try!
On a more personal note, during five years of active duty in the United States Navy, I served as an air traffic controller in Alaska, stationed on the Aleutian Island of Adak, and then as a weather specialist at Kingsville Naval Air Station in South Texas.
For three years, I lived in the Tokyo, Japan area with my career military husband and two children. I now reside in East Central Texas near my now adult children.

I am so happy to know that you enjoy my stories. I look forward to hearing from you again and to going back to your blog as well to see what new things you have created.
There are so many things we have in common in this paragraph, I had to laugh…
I’d love to hear your story. Where you also in the military? I don’t meet that many women who served in one of the armed forces. It was my adventurous side that made me enlist.
No, I didn’t join, but both my parents were Marines, my husband (actually both my ex and my present one) were in the Army, my brother and one sister were in the Army, my daughter is in the Air Force stationed in Japan, and the list goes on and on…Caitie (we call her Bug) sometimes writes posts at my site, and she almost always writes about military life. she wrote one yesterday about the surveys you guys have to fill out from time to time…I have a very adventurous side though, but it manifests itself through motorcycles and hardened men..lol!
I never knew anything about the military until I joined and then I married a military man. I found the life as a military member and as a spouse of one very challenging. I found myself alone a lot raising my children because their dad was on a ship, more than half the time, off in another part of the world. He didn’t want to be gone, but that was the reality.
So tell me something about you as a writer. What type of genre or such do you like to create?
I write prose, mainly first person. I have written some fiction, fantasy mostly, and I actually helped author a company’s human resource handbook, but on my blog these days, I’ve just been writing first person stories about different important — and, like today, random unimportant things that have happened. I am enjoying that the most I think because it is the same as just talking, which I enjoy also… 😉 What all do you write?
I like to write all types from poetry to drama, but my favorite is fantasy action adventure. That is definitely my main focus.
On my blog, I have some short pieces that are nonfiction and a bit autobiographical. But right now, I am posting two of my fantasy stories 500 words at a time. One is more horror and the other is more adventure.
I really like reading true stories from the other bloggers though. I have read some that really touch my heart. I also like that with each post, I get to know a little bit more about the person who is writing it.
I like that too…The ones that are more personal are the ones I like the best..

Kathy
I took a photograph of a flying crow and Photoshoped it to look as if it was a painting. So I guess the answer is “yes”, I did create it for the cover of my novel, Legend of the Tengu Prince. And you are very welcome for the drop by. Hope you have a fabulous week!
Hello Ledia, Erin is featuring another agent that you might want to check out. It looks to me like you two might be a good match. If not, no harm done. If so, I wish you both the best of luck in getting your books out there in the hands of an adoring public! 🙂 Marcy

Thank you so much, Marcy for your faith in me.
I think you’re going to do very well, Ledia. You have a lot of talent. I look forward to buying some of your books myself in the not too distant future. It’s just a matter of being discovered, which in your case, I would think should be soon. My stuff is a little harder to categorize, so I think the hill is going to be a little steeper climb for me. We shall see how it goes. 🙂
Have you had your work analyzed to see where it might be categorized? I know for a long time, I wasn’t sure where to place mine stories. They seemed to fall into several categories such as fantasy, action adventure, young adult, maybe even literary.
Hello Ledia, I ran across this and thought you might be interested in submitting some of your work. I hope it suits your needs, you enter, and of course win! I love to see one of us making headway for our efforts in the literary world. Best of luck! 🙂 Marcy
