World Model Hackathon

Join us in Fort Mason for the first hackathon built entirely around world models.
You will have one goal: actually ship (with) world models.

Create games, simulations, agentic systems, or web-based projects - using the provided kits and SDKs. Teams can compete across two tracks, showcasing creativity, technical skill, and innovation with world models.

Requirements

Project Requirements

  • Functionality: The project must run consistently on its intended platform and function as shown in the demo video and description.
  • New & Existing: All submissions must be newly created and not previously submitted to any other hackathon. Teams may prepare mockups or fine-tune world models beforehand but no coding is allowed before the event.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Any SDKs, APIs, or data must be used in accordance with licensing terms. Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right to request proof of such authorization or licensure.
  • Category Specific Requirements:
    • Best Filmmaking, Entertainment, Simulation App: Must include at least one world model–generated environment or scene as a core part of the experience.
    • Best Gaming & UGC Experience: Must include at least one world model–driven interactive element - environment, character, or gameplay mechanic.
    • Best World Models Implementation with PICO: Must use at least one world model pipeline running on or rendered through PICO hardware.
    • Best Agentic Mission Control with PICO: Must implement at least one AI agent with a spatial management interface. Must run on the PICO Emulator with multi-view or multitasking capabilities.
    • Best Emulator Project with PICO: Must leverage the PICO Emulator's multi-view capabilities for at least one productivity or spatial workflow feature.
    • Best WebSpatial Project with PICO: Must be a web-based spatial app using WebSpatial that runs on the PICO Emulator.

Submission Requirements

  • All team members must have a Devpost account and join the SensAI Hack
  • One member submits and tags all others as collaborators
  • Include a ~45 second demo video showing the experience on device - no copyrighted music or third-party trademarks
  • Include a text description of features and functionality
  • Attach your build/text file (APK, WebXR link, or web app URL depending on your platform)
  • List all paid software, SDKs, APIs, and design tools
  • Upload all files to Google Drive in a folder named after your team: e.g. "207-SF11 HackFace"
    • Build file and demo video in the root folder
    • All other files in a subfolder named "Other"
  • Only one project submission per team is allowed.

Judging Criteria

  • Concept & Innovation
The project goes beyond an idea - it solves a real problem, creates value, or introduces a new experience that wasn’t possible before. We’re looking for projects that could attract, engage, and retain real users.
  • Technical Implementation
Show what you actually built, not just what you imagined. The project should run reliably on the intended platform, feel polished, and demonstrate meaningful use of the provided tools. Presentation matters, including demo video, description, and slides.
  • Experience & Design
The overall experience should be intuitive, immersive, and visually appealing. Interaction, flow, and polish matter, and your demo should clearly communicate how the project works and why it’s engaging.
  • Track & Category Criteria
The project should clearly align with its chosen track and highlight the category’s strengths.
