Shower jets flow wash away strains

All of the day’s hurt — massage out the pain

Pain of shoulders tight and aching

Pain of heartache’s dregs — hope for a new day

Day of wonder, of blooming sunshine

Day of throbbing eyestrain, painful but small

Small moments of bliss, candy-bars in the hall

Small moments to grow, hands to hold

Hold on as thoughts explode into possibility

Hold on as inspiration magnifies

Magnifies with cares and problem’s

Magnifies as thoughts, creativity flying alive

Alive and refined enough to discover solutions

Alive enough to breath success a moment

Moments to sit in the park, nibble rocky-road

Moments to lay in the grass, to nap

Nap through arduous meetings

Nap even though your brain’s full

Full of problems you can’t solve but must

Full of problems that require reflection

Reflection of every angle to be precise

Reflection of the best way to precede

Precede home to the shower where hot water helps

Precede to sing high, sing loud harmonies

Harmonies because work’s done

Harmonies because you can sing alone or with everyone

Everyone can drown their sorrows

Everyone can sing their stories

Stories of God, good and bad times, all kinds of culture

Stories hung on melodies, sweet anticipation

Anticipation as everyone‘s voices crescendo

Anticipation as the music decrescendos

Decresecendos into tunes lento

Decresendos reverse, up into fortissimo

Fortissimo because together melodies uplift

Fortissimo because personal tunes aspire

Aspire to break strains of the workday

Aspire to end echos of projects unfinished

Unfinished conversations with others

Unfinished conversations with yourself, tunes —

Tunes with nothing to prove

Tunes so vivid they can heal souls

Souls shattered can still be pieced together

Souls can mend no matter if —

If you’re singing alone or with others strumming melodies

If you’re singing at night to rest after the day

Melodies of music uplift, helps one harmonize in —

Daylight before, soft melodies pale into sleep

Poem: Florette – “Song of Signs” #wordhighjuly #poetry #amwriting #harana

——-

I’ll sing you music each long night.

Do you hear my voice take flight?

My alto voice rings loud in my ears.

Wish to be there, so you see dear, my notes just right.

——–

You’ll treasure my words, piercing thought.

Can I reach through your veil, you’re aloft.

Stuck inside, where I cannot reach.

No silence but song, I beseech; sign of love sought.

———-

Dusk, lingering in your splendor,

Hope you’ll hear my words crescendo

Problems arise when you see how I sing,

For I am deaf, my songs hand signs ring, my concerto.

——-

Please my love, notice me noiseless,

Signs speak my ardor voiceless.

You gaze through me, my pretty face

Your chosen love’s voice has no grace; my signs joyful.

——

The Florette, created by Jan Turner, consists of two or more 4-line stanzas.

Rhyme scheme: a,a,b,a
Meter: 8,8,8,12

Fourth line requirement of internal (b) rhyme scheme, on syllable 8.

Like the outgrowing of a small flower, the forth line of each stanza is longer, and enwraps the previous lines. Line #4 requires an internal rhyme scheme that rhymes the eighth syllable with the end of line #3, and continues to add on four more syllables than the other lines so that the fourth line ends rhyming with lines #1 and #2.
