The hardened land cannot receive rain, for it can no longer absorb.
What I did once, I did for ALL.
We won’t repeat–it is finished!
“He entered once for all into the Holy Place, taking not the blood of goats and calves but his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.” Hebrews 9:12
If the ground can no longer receive, it must be harrowed — prepared.
So too, it is, to prepare a heart that is no longer pliable. . .
Years of turning away — refusing to believe, would not receive, has turned it to stone.
“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God.” Hebrews 9:12
If My Blood does not penetrate, nothing will!
Think about it.
Are you the stone attempting to hold Me in the grave?
I walked FREE!
Are you?
Only Believe.
“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. His voice then shook the earth; but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heaven.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of what is shaken, as of what has been made, in order that what cannot be shaken may remain. therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:25-29
“And they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; and they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. And taking the twelve again, he began to tell them what was to happen to him, saying, ‘Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him to the Gentiles; and they will mock him, and spit on him, and scourge him, and kill him; and after three days he will arise.” Mark 10:32-34
“And they clothed him in a purple cloak, and plaiting a crown of thorns they put it on him. And they began to salute him, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck his head with a reed, and spat upon him, and they knelt down in homage to him. And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak, and put his own clothes on him. And they compelled a passer-by, *Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of *Alexander and *Rufus, to carry his cross. And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means the place of the skull). And they offered him wine mingled with myrrh; but he did not take it. And they crucified him, and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take. And it was the third hour, when they crucified him. And the inscription of the charge against him read, “The King of the Jews.” And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left. And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads, and saying, ‘Aha! You who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself, and come down from the cross!'” Mark 15:17-30 *See editor’s note below.
“And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, ‘My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?'” Mark 15:33
“And Jesus uttered a loud cry, and breathed his last. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that he thus breathed his last, he said, ‘Truly, this man was the Son of God!'” Mark 15:37-39
“And very early in the week they went to the tomb when the sun had risen. And they were saying to one another, ‘Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the tomb?’ And looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back–it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe; and they were amazed. and he said to them, ‘Do not be amazed; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen, he is not here; see the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.” Mark 16:2-7
“Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, whom he had cast out seven demons.” Mark 16:9
“After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking in the country.” Mark 16:12
“Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they sat at table; and he upbraided them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.” Mark 16:14
“Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.” 2Corinthians 5:17
*Editor’s note: As I was typing this, I felt led to look up the names of the sons of Simon of Cyrene, Alexander and Rufus. I was not surprised to find that, sourced from search assistant, Alexander, Greek in origin, means ‘defender of man’ or “protector of men.’ His brother, Rufus’ name, Latin in origin, means ‘red haired’ or ‘red.’ It is only my opinion, but this speaks to me of Jesus, the ‘defender’ of men, through His ‘red’ blood, shed for all mankind. Again, it is only my opinion, but I don’t think it is coincidence that Simon of Cyrene, father of Alexander and Rufus, was “compelled” to carry the cross; for Jesus was compelled to carry our sins on that cross. Finally, the name of the man that carried the cross, Simon, is Hebrew in origin, and it means “he has heard.” or “listening.”
Jesus has ‘heard’ your cries and He has already made provision for you to receive Eternal Salvation, through His horrific sacrificial death upon the cross. Forever to be with Him, if only you’d believe.
He has ‘heard’, will you ‘listen’?
