In The Wind

Shifting shapes shades colours
flying flapping fluttering
flowing in the airy current
punctuated by random gusts
sharp breezes tugging at
corners of rectangular towels
anchored to the clothesline.

Brightly hued stripes patches
spots catching sunlight on
thick velvety pile and
worn threadbare cloth alike.

A flowing abstract depiction
of colours caught by sunlight
on a b risk drying day.

  1. Very nice. We dry clothes in the sun after the monsoon season. I like to watch them drying. During the monsoon, there is sunlight but we don’t know when it will rain. And we have to run out to get the clothes. The fear of slipping and falling is there. How are you?

    1. I too much prefer drying my washing outside or on the patio if it rains. I am not keen on electric clothes dryers. I am very well thank you. I was very interested to read all about your travels. very interesting.
