This looks like it could be an issue with your local environment rather than WordPress itself.
Could you open your browser’s developer console and check for any errors? If you’re not sure how to do that, this guide explains it step by step: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/open
Once you’ve checked, feel free to paste any errors you see here or a screenshot and I’ll help you figure out what’s going on.

When does the team plan on getting it fixed? It’s been nearly 12 months since the release and all other plugins have sorted it?

Tbh I don’t think this is by design because this happens without ever manually removing the coupon and the behaviour only seems to happen on IOS device.
So just to clarify, we only close the browser, not manually remove the coupon.
On desktop, I can test 10 times in a row in a private or standard browser and it doesn’t matter if I close the browser and open a new one, it will always apply the coupon automatically. So the behaviour is definitely different.
Furthermore, when I was first alerted to this not auto applying and tested on a new IOS device with a new IP, the coupon didn’t auto apply.
Some more odd behaviour on ios is ‘sometimes’ it would not be auto applying on the cart but it would auto apply after proceeding to the checkout from the cart.

I assume this is going to be released in the next update?Hi, thanks for the response. This is happening on Desktop and mobile, plus this option is enabled already. Do you have a screenshot of it working, we’ve tested from multiple browsers and locations/connections and the issue is persistent.

Hi there, we have tried the suggestion but it didn’t work, unfortunately. The first gift card has a number generated as pasted below
Gift Voucher: 6641077618287234
But the other gift card has this (order has been marked complete but no subsequent email is sent).
Gift Voucher: Generated and emailed after the order is marked Complete.

Sorry, perhaps I should have confirmed this originally.
This has been tested with only a default theme active (twentytwentythree) and all other plugins deactivated (excluding Woocommerce + Woocommerce Stripe Gateway). This plugin was found to be the culprit causing the test keys to be overwritten.
All plugins and WordPress core are at the latest versions.

We do not have WPML installed and are not using the multilingual features.

Also for reference I’ve included a screenshot of the stripe plugin settings screen where the issue appears. As you can see, it shows the live keys where it should be test keys. When disabling your plugin, the test keys come back.

Okay, so the information in the original post might not have been 100% correct because SG cache turned out to be interfering with 2 different plugins. I am guessing it was the anti-spam feature from this plugin and the cache control headers from the other plugin (worlpay).
But bottom line, cache was missing with this worldpay disable and cerber active, and cache would hit with Cerber and worldpay disabled. Seems @marcoragogna figured it out though.
@marcoragogna yes I did solve it by removing the plugin and installing Wordfence. Sorry if that doesn’t help.
Better idea, separate the plugins, put a dashboard notification in wp user avatar plugin saying “Hey guys you’ve been using my plugin for a while, it’s awesome, I’m an awesome person, please check out my new awesome plugin”, not this forced garbage.
