Thanks for the positive review. The site uses the Youtube nocookie domain to render the videos:

This is most likely the reason for Youtube not seeing your site as loading the videos. I have checked the plugin page and we don’t actually mention this.

I will add this to the issues to add this information to that page. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Thanks for using the plugin. If you are using the thumbnail from the video provider (e.g. the thumbnail uploaded via Youtube) then no height and width is present. This is because getting this information is not easy, expensive in terms of querying or not possible depending on the setup of the website in question.

For these reasons we choose to leave off the height and width.

However, if having these attributes on the thumbnail is super important to you, you can upload your own thumbnail on the block itself. Height and width does get output for custom thumbnails.

Thanks for reporting this. I think this is because I have wp_print_styles( 'better-core-video-embeds-styles' ) being called in the block render function.

Removing this appears to fix the addition of a <link> element whilst the CSS still loads. I will therefore look to include this in a release shortly.

Could you provide a little more information about what your site is running pleas. A link to the page would also be useful to see – where the video is broken.

I can see on the URL you sent over that the CSS file from Better Core Video Embeds is not being loaded at all of that page. This will be the reason for the incorrect rendering of the video on page load.

I am not sure why this is.

I have a test site running with just Better Core Video Embeds and ActivityPub plugins active using WordPress v6.7.2 and the latest version of the Twenty Twenty Five theme. The videos are rendering.

I am therefore wondering if this is a conflict with another plugin and the ActivityPub plugin.

I can’t recreate this in my local environment. I have the plugin activated along with ActivityPub, but videos are still displaying correctly for me.

Are there any settings I need to add to ActivityPub?

Hi Rodrigo

Thanks for the interest in the plugin. The plugin is built to work with the core embed block as part of the block editor and therefore it won’t work (as you have mentioned) with the classic editor.

We don’t have plans to make it work on the classic editor either as it would be a different mechanism entirely.
