Check your stripe gateway credentials like secret key, password, and other details.
Change stipe different keys and test again, if this didn’t resolve than deactivate plugin and activate again.
Clear the cache and try again. If still any queries let us know so that we can help you further on this

Pleased to know that you are trying our newly subscription plugin.
About your query here is the response for same. We create subscriptions during the checkout, so it’s a normal product type flow.
It does not follow like send request or follow api with WooCommerce.

No as of now we have only stripe, but we are working on other gateways too. Very soon we are coming with new integrated gateways.

Referring to your query below are responses mentioned-
Users should be able to sign up for a monthly subscription to access premium content. >> Yes users can signup for monthly subscription, but for access premium content, we think you may also need membership plugin to make everything fine, it’s just a scenario which we understood.
The subscription should automatically renew every month unless the user cancels it. >> Yes users can automatically renew and cancel it as per their need
We need to integrate a payment gateway to handle the subscription payments. >> We have right now Stripe which you can use, we are working on PayPal. Soon we will come with some other gateways too for free.

Your query seems to be related and for your query yes in our plugin WCD Subscriptions there is a option of sign up fees in the subscription which you can apply for same while setting up in the backend.
Yes stripe is already integrated with our plugin so you can use it.
