More testing… it looks like the issue is only in the Chrome browser.
For me the culprit was Google Maps, of all things. Disabling it restored the Select Files ability.
installed 3.2.3 and so far so good! Thank you for your super fast response and thank you for this plugin!
I reverted to 3.2.1 and all seems well now! I surely do appreciate the plugin!
