I misread the settings, thanks that worked!
Hi Hitesh,
So I have paid for that extension and it works well. What I was actually wondering was if there is a way to allow people to register for events *without being logged in*.
Thanks,
Andrew
For anyone wondering, we used JetEngine’s query plugin to filter by _event_end_date but this variable is saved as a CHAR so you have to optimize for that, then we just use only the calendar and not their event list. Bad events still show up in their lists or with some filtering options but this allows you to just use your own custom grid to pull in only upcoming events and then use the calendar to show a normal event calendar with all events.
I feel like you didn’t tell people about a security threat you probably discovered and you quietly phased out this feature without discussion because its defiitely in old versions when you click on the eye Preview for Orders.
I am honestly just still confused because I’ve used the feature in the past without a plugin, I’ve literally seen the button on the back-end for Woocommerce. I’ve used this functionality to pay Invoices before.
If I have the time I am tempted to get an older version of Woocommerce to see if it is in there, because I’m pretty sure it is. So why the secrecy?
I would love if there was an official native solution for taking payments from customers over the phone or at least just acting on behalf of a customer to take a payment. I understand it’s complex to build permissions for sharing or saving gateway tokens between accounts and there are probably more security holes that are opened when developing this so I get it.
Shopify has it. Woocommerce needs it. That is, if they are still competing.
That was it! Thanks 🙂
Yeah honestly after working with this for hours today I can see why you have not built this out yet, it’s because it’s hard. It’s because your developers didn’t want to bother building it like I am having to spend time doing now.
Honestly this is deal-breaking for me, I can’t work with this plugin if I can’t just automatically exclude expired events the moment they happen. Makes zero sense to do it otherwise other than if you were too lazy to develop it the proper way.
So, the problem with that is now the default is to show all events regardless of if they’re past the date or not.
What is the point of showing expired events in the event list at all?
Yes I also need this feature, I am importing thousands of listings and this one feature is forcing me to completely re-think my directory solution. I will have to pick another plugin if I can’t import map to custom fields.
Is this a planned feature that is coming out soon?
