In reply to: [xili-language] [Plugin: xili-language] "Settings for Experts" shows up emptyI am getting this too. Latest xili and WP versions installed.
Thanks
LOL – Our problem is while the developer had the vision to develop this he doesn’t seem to have the impetus to correct the bugs. Maybe he is on summer vacation.
I think the instructions are screwed up. It is supposed to go in the mu-plugins folder, but this is not generally straight forward. I have seen developers require different things.
THE FUNNY THING IS IT WOULD TAKE THE DEVELOPER ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE THIS.
The latest version.
I don’t know how to fix this, but perhaps Mr Ipstenu (he made a comment above) could help you.
Thanks. Actually I had found it before but didn’t realize it. No versions work.
Maybe you might have an idea about the problem? This plugin has great potential and as far as I know it’s the only one of its kind. It adds syntax color to the html editor. With the coming of html5 this is really useful especially in combination with a plugin that can add tags to the editor.
There are 2 problems:
1. With the plugin installed the tag buttons don’t work (even without the extra plugin to add more tags).
2. The editor’s extend box has disappeared and the line setting from WordPress->Settings->Writing is not used.I tested this in Firefox and Safari, with another theme, another totally different WordPress installation and with many plugins deactivated.
My guess is a WordPress update killed the plugin somehow.
Cheers

In reply to: Can I modify the distraction free writing full screen mode?Sorry, but exactly how was he happy with what responsiveness?
While apparently you responded quickly to his post, when you did it was in a very paternalistic manner. He was certainly polite in his response, but definitely not satisfied with your answers.
And obviously by approaching him in that way, you missed the point.
Fullscreen is a worthy abstraction for the editor, but the definition of that abstraction should be modifiable by the user. I suppose eventually we will see something but from a quick search progress is slow so far.
If you take away a feature you must actively construct a trail for those users to help themselves. You can’t be all things to all people. And you can’t expect all people to agree with every decision. But by the grace of an excellent architecture you should leverage it.
Also the tags on the html editor don’t work.
I tested this in 2 WP installations.Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Can I modify the distraction free writing full screen mode?I came to this thread searching about the full screen editor, but I must say I am SHOCKED at the inability of the wordpress people to understand this person’s simple request:
“THE PERSON DOESN’T WANT THE EDITING BUTTONS AT THE TOP TO DISAPPEAR!”
I hope that helps clarify the question, but oh so dense me figured it out in less than 1 sec.
Jane is definitely out of line with her way over the top paternalistic (even if she is a woman) comments. This person is your customer and obviously the “team” screwed up royally on this. Admit your mistake and correct it.
LOL – one more thing!
If you are running SuperCache and using a CDN (FYI I am using rackspace) this worked for me:Add in the SuperCache settings page –>> CDN tab –>> to the “exclude if substring” setting –>> .xsl
;-}
Sounds great. Thanks.
What is the timeline?Cheers

In reply to: [Plugin: CDN Sync Tool] Multisite setup question.I didn’t see a response to Eric – who BTW is correct according to my experience.
How?
Did you click the link?
I have the same problem. If you click the link you will probably see that the application ID you entered is not being sent.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: rewrite rules problem. Cannot add URI starting with "members"Ha ha I figured out the problem.
There is an undocumented solution buried deep.Come on brother Gibb, fess!
Tell everyone how easy it is to eliminate the problem. Reveal the big secret.Big hint. It’s sitting in the middle of this page-
http://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/changing-internal-configuration-settings/ and contains 37 characters.
