I can confirm this works for me!
I am having a similar issue – I cannot update posts – the only work around I have is DEACTIVATING the plugin, editing the post, then REACTIVATING it.
Pretty poor!
I fixed this by disabling the inclusion of the google api in the front end in the settings
I wish the developer would include an error message here and check for a duplicate google API key….Damn i spent hours on this!!
