We can close this – the resolution came from going back and determining requirements for your plugin. I was missing php-dom, curl, and imagick on our production server. Installed those, rebooted, and we were in business.

Did you get a resolution to this issue. I am having the same issue, but not with the Magic Embeds plugin, but rather the Facebook Mobile Plugin. Works fine in Chrome but not safari on the iPhone…video flashes but doesn’t play. I’m using the latest version of WordPress.
