Hi,

But how do you do this? I can’t get Google to answer me that.

Bummer.
I wish that were the case but activating the plugin — and checkmarking the first 4 advanced settings options (no blog translation otherwise) — also breaks my top banner and removes images from the page.
Even if I try to translate again, not even all the original English post text shows up on the page when I click on ‘translate site’.
So this means another plugin. And perhaps another template…
I have no love for website nonsense.

Apparently I will have to delete the newer version first. This will also delete its data. Will that mean it will also delete my translations?

I went through the whole proces but to no avail. So seems to be no conflict with other plugins.
Even with the TwenyTwenty theme (and all other plugins off) the plugin remains haphazard in its translations.
At the moment, with the latest update of TranslatePress, translation is still haphazard:

I started using TranslatePress last year after another translation plugin was no longer supported, so I haven’t even gotten around to repairing that in all the database yet. So if there are no other avenues to explore I’m left with two options: retranslating, or starting from scratch with another plugin.

Changes to translations are possible.

Hi,
My blog pages also lost their translations after the plugin update I did today.
My site is English, translated to Dutch.
I tried the steps above, and only after step 4 did translations return. Not all of them though, it’s pretty random:
