This is the case of the mentioned Description, section Usage.4. For now you should save only from the Visual tab. Cause what you changed in the HTML tab is temporary before you switch to the Visual. If you click Preview it doesn’t show the modified content either.
If I have some time later I’ll try to fix this part (at the moment I don’t remember why it was designed this way) or disable Save/Publish buttons when the user is on the HTML tab to avoid this type of confusion.
    Thanks.

Hi. Please tell me exact steps to reproduce it.
I tried to add some text on the HTML tab and clicked Save Draft. The added text is not saved but the previous content is not removed. This is expected behaviour according to the plugin Description, section Usage.4. The content should be synchronized with the HTML tab content. So you should first switch to the Visual tab before saving.

    Hi.
Do you mean the Circles theme?
Does it work with the default theme?

So you had some unclosed tags in your Visual editor?

So I’ve installed plugin on the fresh WP site and tested with simple paragraphs and with table. It all works, tabs switch without problems.

I assume the reason can be:

    • in the post text which cannot be converted correctly to the html markup for the HTML tab
    • in a confilct with another plugin

Please check it with another post and with clean site. Try to disable all plugins.

I created the plugin in 4.1 version.
Maybe it doesn’t work correctly with the new version.
I’ll check it in the WP 4.2 and write back.

Hi. Sorry for late response. I thought wordpress.org sends email when support posts appear… (edit: just didn’t subscribe)

So as I see the line numbers seem to be like hidden behind another layer. It’s like there are 2 layers: the front one is with 1 line and the second contains the HTML, but it’s in the background.

    So I need some information:

What WP version do you use?
Does it happen with another pages? (did you test with simple text with a couple of paragraphs?)
How it works on a new WP site?
