I couldn’t figure out the code. I’m rubbish at PHP. If anyone knows what I need to replace much appreciated.
Thanksis it possible to modify the submission-form.php file to simply ignore the user input tag and just return his username? Would that work?

The website is really heavy, like it takes a solid minute or 2 for me to load it. Could be a timeout issue. Either way you might want to consider web optimizing and compressing the images and content.
