It was Darklup Lite – WP Dark Mode. I didn’t dig in much to find the actual problem in the code but I was able to determine that was the plugin causing the issue.
After some additional troubleshooting I found there was a conflict with another plugin and was able to suppress that plugin in AMP settings.
