Animesh,
The subscriptions have now reverted back to their original state where email only is the dominant method and WordPress.com is less popular. Only explanation I can offer is that the Jetpack team made patch and fixed what was broken in another release. Everything seems OK now.
“If there’s an aspect of this update that’s impacting your subscriber growth, we’re eager to hear about it and explore potential adjustments. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve”
Yes, ever since the change my subscribers have been declining daily. Not growing.Alin,
Can I go back to the previous way of doing things and have subscribers default to email only?
I am losing subscribers daily because of this change. My subscriber counts are actually going down now. Before the new WordPress.com sign ups I was averaging 100 new subscribers a week for the past year.
The success of my blog had me looking at Jetpack CRM. But right now my subscriber counts are going down and I can’t help but feel it is Jetpack’s fault.
Please tell me how to reverse the changes Jetpack has made.
I am also getting the error “Sorry, this is not a valid account!” when I enter my username. How do I resolve this?
