Also, please provide older versions (2.6) in case of needed rollback. For some reason there is no way to download older version other than to have own backup.

Hello, thank you for your consideration. I managed to find that “Wp Security” plugin was somehow blocking the crons. Now that I turned it off, it magically worked. However I still cant pinpoint exact option that is the culprit, I’ll let you know when I find out.
