    Hi Alan,

Yes indeed, I am back as an administrator on my control panel. My host could not say what went wrong but they managed to give me back my administrative privileges.

As far as I can see, the QEM plugin was not part of my problem in any way. I am so pleased with that.

Thank you again for your quick support.

Thank you Alan for your quick answer and forgive me for not answering back sooner.

I was pleased to learn that the issue was not specifically with the QEM plugin since I am very much enjoy your plugin and I don’t want to remove it from my WordPress setup.

For the last 24 hours I have been struggling with multiple attempts to re-access my control panel but it seems that all my users have lost their administration privileges.

Through the C-Panel and the file manager I have replaced the plugin files with those of the latest release (9.3.1). The web site is up and running but I am still unable to access my WordPress control panel presumably due to the WordPress roles being messed up.

My Host is informed of my problem and hopefully will find a way to restore my access… otherwise I will explore your suggestion of using the reset-roles-and-capabilities plugin.

    I am keeping fingers crossed!

    Many thanks

    Jacques

I think there is another way to address this…

    1. Open a new empty sheet in Excel
    2. Under Data tab, select “Text file ”
    3. then select your csv file
    4. it will offer all the formatting options…

Thank you for your quick answer.

I will definitely consider the commercial version of the plugin.

I did visit your site and tried the demo in order to see the Appointment Limits and the Cancel options add-on in action, but I think these options are not implemented in the demo.

Anyway, I will carry on with my investigation on your commercial site.

    Hi,

I had already read your article “Date Shifting and Other Timezone-related Issues in Participants Database” and modified my setting.

I am currently using a WordPress Timezone = “Toronto” and have checked the advanced setting so that the php timezone will be set to the WordPress timezone.

With this setup, the date fields for any new record created in the Participant Database are OK but i am left with the date shift problem for my old records…

I suppose I can export the database, modify my birth dates by adding one day in Excel and then reimport the database.

But my initial question was and still is: is there an easier way to do this in the Participant Database? For example, computing something like : birthdate = birthdate + 1

OK now I have it right!

    Thanks a lot…

Thank you for providing me with the solution!

I went for the second option you proposed and it works as intended.

Now it brings me to a related question : is there a way I can update all my records with the new value for my placeholder field? My default value is «See record» («Voir fiche» in french) and as soon as I edit a record it puts this correct default value but I have to edit every record separately. Is there a way I can select all of them and have their defaut value updated?

Thanks you so much again… it works perfectly.

Needless to say, I should have read the documentation with more attention…
    Have a good day,

You were right! I did a cut and paste as I did before and this time it works just fine.

As far as I can see, the only difference for my second attempt is that I deactivated the plugin before editing the php file (which I did not do the first time)

Anyway… it now works as intended.

Thank you so much for your support.

I tried your solution but this killed the access to the web site with an HTTP ERROR 500

I was fortunate enough to go back to the C-Panel and edit back line 45 to the initial setting and the web site is up again…

    Any alternative?

I should say that i am using Cloudflare… was there any cache that I should have cleared after editing the plugin?

    (@baillarg)

Thank you so much… I am up and running now!

    I followed your instructions :
    1. created an admin” group (I think I had renamed it to something like “administration”
    2. Made a full backup
    3. Deactivated the plugin
    4. I went to remove the plugin from my C-Panel but did not know exactly which branch to remove???
    pdb-member_payments
    assets
    languages
    pdbmps
    fields
    payment_log
    payment_status
    paypal_ipn
    paypal_pdt
    shortcodes
    transaction
    templates
    5. So, at this stage I simply decided to reactivate the plugin and to my surprise the “Payment Log” field reappeared in my list of fields.

Thanks again for maintaining the Participants Database and for your support,

Thank you for eliminating the CSS possibility of slowing down my serving of the first page and to clarifying the TTFB issue.

Indeed, I am both using Hummingbird and Cloudflare and at some time I was using caching plugins as well.

Recently I tried to turn off all of caching plugins since Hummingbird was giving me the following message :

Hummingbird detected an advanced-cache.php file in wp-content directory. Please disable any other caching plugins on order to use Page Caching. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to deal with this “advanced-cache.php file” and how to turn it off….

I understand that I should now switch to the Hummingbird and/or Cloudflare forum sections to investigate my long TTFB issue?

    Steven,
Thank you for your encouraging comment!
    1. I am mainly concerned because my site is very slow at loading the first page and I am suspecting that this large CSS file loading twice could be the culprit…

    2. I can not figure out if one of my plugins could be involved . Here is the exhaustive list of the plugins I am using :
    Arconix FAQ
    Contact Form 7
    CPO Companion
    Custom Sidebars
    Duplicate Post
    Flamingo
    Hummingbird
    Simple Calendar
    Simple Custom CSS
    SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
    TablePress
    UpdraftPlus – Sauvegarde/Restauration
    WP DB Booster
    WP Google Maps
    WP-Optimize
    WPFront Scroll Top (inactive)
    YouTube widget responsive
