That’s awesome! You should consider making that prominent from inside the HTML Import 2 plugin, I was looking for it, just never noticed it.
I solved my own question by catching up to speed on WordPress. In the old days we would do this by hand, walking up hill in the snow both ways!
Now we run the WordPress Export and Import tools and voila!

**EDIT** I went into advps-admin.php, line 167 and changed
“Template One” to “Thumbnail and Excerpt”
“Template Two” to “Thumbnail”
“Template Three” to “Full Content”
