Cheers, that got her back online.
Any suggestions for fixing or replacing my broken plugins?
WP Migrate DB still gives the same error message
You’re drunk BackWPup go home… “BackWPup requires PHP version 5.3 with spl extension or greater and WordPress 3.9 or greater.”

In reply to: Errors After Manual UpdateIf you follow the first link my original problem is that WP wouldn’t update and many links from the admin page lead to a blank page. I follow the person who was helping directions perfectly, manually deleting and then adding the new file one at a time through File Zilla.
I’m just trying to see if I can change my database and have my website straighten out or if I’m going to have to manually redo my whole site through WP.
Thanks

It is spelled correctly on file just mistyped it here.
In the main folder I only see a “.htcaccess”
Alright, so I tried all the permalink settings and none made a difference. I am 99% certain they were “Plain” style.
Settings > Media
I’ve never changed the default pixel sizes and everything is checked as you instructed.I know that I have a child theme based on Virtue under my themes. When I activate that one nothing works on the website.
Are there any other ideas you have? How can we address those table errors I received when updating my WordPress database?
I can access everything now but there are no media files although the pictures show up within each individual post.
The admin page seems to work but every page (i.e. shopping page, portfolio, contact page) are all one single post . So every “Page” that I used to have is now all grouped into “Posts”. I tried every permalink setting and it didn’t change anything, I never used a custom permalink so that wouldn’t be it either.
Do the errors point to something I did wrong with FileZilla as in adding an unnecessary prefix along the way?
I suppose I can remake my entire site by copying and pasting everything from Posts into Pages but those errors make me weary something was done incorrectly.
Thank you!
Noticed a wp-config-sample.php on my site from 2015
Also on first signing into my wp admin page:
“Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The database update process may take a little while, so please be patient.”
Followed by:
“WordPress database error: [Table ‘andgil8_nwb.nw_categories’ doesn’t exist]

Update CompleteYour WordPress database has been successfully updated!”
Everything had been posted as a blog posts like last time.
Okay, so now all of them are definitely deactivated.
Main site works fine, I can login and can access everything I could when I originally posted (i.e. Plugins, Themes, Appearance etc work; Posts, Media, Pages etc don’t)
The admin screen appears totally normal outside the blank screen issue.
All plugins are currently deactivated.
Done and done, now I’m back to step 1. Should I go ahead with the manual update again and see if won’t work this time?
If you can think of any screen shots I should take of FileZilla etc that might illuminate my issue that may help solve it.
Do you know, or still have, what the table errors were?
Unfortunately, no I didn’t think to grab a ss.
Even with other themes all my site data is just regurgitated as one insanely long blog post. Additionally, the navigation menu is totally gone etc. So it doesn’t appear to have anything to do with the specific theme. Perhaps those errors were finally visible after I updated the themes and it refreshed the site :[
I’ve got everything backed up, is time to just redo this all over? Extremely appreciative of your help.
Okay so I got every uploaded as instructed. It successfully updated the site was working fine.
Then I updated my Virtue theme and it transferred all my “Pages”, “Portfolio” etc to “Posts” and the site is totally blank at the moment.
I did receive a few “table errors” after uploading 4.4.1 manually but the site worked fine until Virtue was updated.
