the shortcode editor is available only in the Premium version and is not necessary to build the KB. It allows you to list some KB articles outside of the KB like in posts or pages if needed to direct visitors to the KB.
Also it was moved to its own dedicated page for better compatibility with all WordPress editors. I’ll update the documentation!That being said you just need to add a single shortcode [basepress] to a page for the knowledge base and select that page in BasePress settings.
You can find a small manual under BasePress menu to get started but if you need any help to get started you can contact me at support(at)8bitsinarow(dot)com

Just to make thing easier in case you already have translations on the old file you can open it with PoEdit and then go to Catalog->Update from POT file.
You can then select the new POT file and it will load all the changes to your file.
That will avoid you to transfer the translations manually between files.
If you want to share the translation with other users you can send the file to me and I’ll add it to the plugin’s language folder.Thanks

the original pot file was partially created manually as there where not too many translations.
As the number of files in the plugin grow this would not be possible anymore and therefore I am going to automate the task from next release on (using Poedit for the string extraction).
This means that the new POT file will not match with the current one.
If you have already started the translations from the old file I am afraid that you will have to copy them over.
If that is too big of a task you can send me your translations and I’ll see how I can help in moving them to the new file.Thanks

Hi there,
I have tested the plugin with WordPress 5.0.2 without issue in my test environment. The products and sections can be selected as normal.
Also the metaboxes used for the products and sections have not been changed as they are still compatible with the new editor.That being said someone else mentioned this same problem but when I checked the site from my browser the sections could be selected as expected.
I would be happy to find the issue but I haven’t managed to replicate it.
Would you mind creating an admin account for me so I can have a look at it and hopefully find the issue?

Hi,
I just wanted to add that there is a widget for the sections and one for the articles to navigate.
Both widgets show in which section and article you are in each page.
The section widget has a tree like structure for sub sections.Thanks
