I created a YouTube API key. When I add it to the settings and save, it’s not visible in the field. It doesn’t seem to be saving. All YouTube URLs on my site have the 403 warnings in the Broken Link Checker because it’s not using the API.

I’m using the old local way.

    Hello @wilcosky

Hope you are doing well today.

Can you please share some example links so we can better understand the issue?
In general, when you are using your embed link it converts them to different types of links so I’m not sure which links are getting a 403 error.

I would appreciate it if you could also share your site URL where we can find your YouTube videos.

    Kind Regards
    Amin

When I save the API key, should it show in the field? My API field goes blank. If you could just confirm this that would be very helpful.

    Hello @wilcosky,

Yes, the key should be visible after saving.

In case it’s not visible, it might be happening due to some JavaScript error, a plugin/theme conflict, etc.

Could you please run a conflict test, by saving the API key after switching to a different theme, and after disabling other plugins, as explained here.

It should help to narrow it down to a particular theme or plugin conflict. Make sure you have the latest site backup before performing the conflict test.

Please let us know what was the result of running the test.

    Best Regards,
    Dmytro
