Year description

It sounds like you are describing the archive template. The Archive plugin only handles the linking, not the landing pages themselves. But after a quick google search there are some ways of doing this:

Basically, you would need to:
1. create a custom post type to hold archive year descriptions
2. create content for each year
3. create a custom archive template that displays content available for the year currently being displayed.

It’s something that should an adept WordPress developer about 30 minutes.
