Hi, we’re seeing a huge database for wp_spbc_firewall_data.

What is this for, and can we purge it?

    Thanks

  • I am having the same problem. The files are so big my hosting service is threatening to limit my site.

Singingvegan, it’s good to know we’re not the only ones. And strange, we are also plant-based activists here. Check out our meditation site at ojaya.com!

Meanwhile, let’s see what Cleantalk advises us!

Yes, but what about now? Can we delete Cleantalk and install fresh? Will this solve the issue?

    Hi @wordpressdharma
It could solve the issue. But reinstall the plugin with the “Complete deactivation” option enabled: WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings -> Check the last settings “Complete deactivation” and save changes.

    Hello @wordpressdharma @singingvegan.

It was certainly not resolved. One of my sites was just shut down by my host because of this problem.

You said you were going to try and resolve the issue and I haven’t heard anything. I created a ticket.

    Hello @singingvegan

Please follow these steps to fix the issue:

    1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Security & Malware scan by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refreshing find the plugin again “Security & Malware scan by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
    4. Download the plugin archive from here: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/security-malware-firewall.2.74.zip
    5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
    6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

    Did it help?

As I mentioned, my site was shut down because of the database size, so I couldn’t get to the WP Admin panel. I had to go in to the database and truncate the two largest files so that I could get my site restored. Now that I’ve done that, I can reinstall the plugin.
