We have several log entries within the last two month where WordPress has “Deleted order “Protected: Order – December 19, 2025 @ 01:52 PM””. I don’t really understand what this means, but at least one of them was an active WooCommerce order that we didn’t know was missing until customer notified us. Checking others now, but wondering if you know what this means and why it is happening. I can see the order details in the woocommerce_paypal_payments……log, but the post(s) is completely missing from the database.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Difficult to say right away, but if you click the date/time of the event there is a table with the event context. It could contain some useful information and clues that could help you determine what plugin is doing this. If this happens often you could also try to enable Detective Mode to add even more possible helpful data to the context data.

(Sorry for late reply – I was sure I had answered this already but maybe I forgot to press the submit button…)

Our review indicates that the action scheduler is deleting WooCommerce orders that never made it past the “draft” status. There may be other statuses, too, but none other than draft since we have been monitoring. Your event context is helpful, thanks. I find it odd that Woo would completely delete–seems like back practice. We can close this topic, thanks.
