Since you’re using BuddyPress, you don’t need any code to remove the black admin bar. BuddyPress already has a built-in option for this:
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → BuddyPress → Options
- Find the Toolbar setting
- Uncheck “Show the Toolbar for logged-in users.”
- Save changes
This will remove the admin bar site-wide for all members.
If you only want to remove it for your own account, you can also go to Users → Profile → Toolbar and uncheck “Show Toolbar when viewing site.”

Thanks, I remembered the gender option, but I didn’t understand where it was because I was looking for it in theme 😅
