Hi @jakesfox,
Welcome to the WooCommerce forum, and thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it can be when your sidebar isn’t showing on WooCommerce pages, especially after trying a plugin like WooSidebar without success.
Just to clarify, was the sidebar displaying properly before and recently stopped working, maybe after a theme or plugin update? Or is this a new site setup where the sidebar has never appeared?
I see you’re using the Responsive theme by CyberChimps. How WooCommerce pages display—particularly sidebars—is largely controlled by the theme’s template. Some themes don’t include a sidebar layout for WooCommerce pages by default, so the sidebar may not appear even if your widgets are properly configured.
Have you tried switching temporarily to a different theme, like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four, to check if the sidebar appears there?
In general, to enable the WooCommerce sidebar:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce, if your theme includes those options, and look for any layout or sidebar settings.
- Also check Appearance > Widgets to ensure your sidebar areas have widgets assigned to them, especially for WooCommerce-related pages.
Let me know how that goes, and feel free to share a screenshot of your widget settings or theme customizer view if you’d like me to take a closer look.
Looking forward to helping you get this sorted!
I have never seen a sidebar in this website theme on woocommerce pages ( no one woocommerce pages do not display sidbare) I thought it is bug.
Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce and here I do not have anything about sidebar

Hi @jakesfox ,
Thanks for reaching out!
I took a look to see if there’s a sidebar option available in the Responsive theme’s customization settings here: screenshot. It looks like this theme doesn’t currently support showing a sidebar on the WooCommerce product catalog page. That seems to be a limitation on the theme’s side rather than something controlled by WooCommerce.
Since this is theme-specific, the best next step would be to reach out directly to the theme developer to see if they can offer a workaround or some custom code to enable the sidebar:

You also mentioned that the Storefront theme displays the sidebar just fine—and that makes sense! Storefront has built-in support to set sidebars for WooCommerce pages, which is why it works there. The sidebar layout is entirely managed by the theme, not WooCommerce itself.
I hope that clears things up a bit! Let me know if you have any other questions—I’m happy to help.
