When Cloudflare SSL, Advanced Automatic Updates does not run.

I’ve noticed that when using Cloudflare reverse proxy free SSL, that the Advanced Automatic update plugin does not function. I know this is somehow related to the reverse proxy, but wondering if there is some workaround?
