Same here. All of the websites I work on have the same error – Invalid object type for field “author”. This is appearing on product pages of the website for review schema markup on products that do not even have a review. Its throwing in review schema and assigning a random author name. I also had a site where the schema for Organization was creating the same review markup with the same author markup error.
Same. Since 2 days.
It may be a google thing, cause a schema.org tester doesn’t give this error. And in the schema output in the HTML I don’t see the objecttype for author defined as thing.
Same problem. Could you please have a look and fix it?
Same here, waiting for any news.
Hi Guys, I solved my website changes the code. Apparently they changed the way we write author field.
Before:
“author”: “ACCS Design”,
NOW:
“author”: {“@type”: “Person”,”name”: “ACCS DESIGN”},
Here is the reference

I don’t know what you are saying. Is there something we can change to fix this or do they need to? My issue is that pages that should not even have a review, nor author schema are somehow randomly getting that code injected onto the page now. I shouldn’t need an author markup if there is no review on the page in the first place.

How do you change it?
I use the auto fetch feature.
I tried to customise the schema on my product page but I can’t see that area with author or thing that needs changing.
Nah it has to be changed in the plugin code that generates the output for the webpage.
I don’t use a plugin, but if you do, you need to change the code there as @saens said.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused we are already aware of this problem and we are working on to fix it as soon as possible.
And @accsdesign @saens @calinl @digitalex can you all share URL link of your Website for our reference.
Hi there!
We have made changes and fixed this issue. Could you please update to our latest version.
Please let us know.?
Oh! Thank you ! It works ok now.
Launched a revalidation in Search Console already…
However I am not sure why I have to valid review snippets on my product page.
I always had 2… Is that normal?
It may pick one review snippet from a different plug in.. Maybe it is Yoast?
If that is the case how do I disable one?
Again thank you very much for the quick fix!
Updated latest version but still getting error.
