    I have enabled the Visual Editor Only option. However, when users post using formatting such as ‘left align’ or ‘center’, the HTML code is appearing in the post, rather than the formatting.

    Any idea on a fix for this? Is it a permissions issue somewhere (is WordPress preventing these users from using certain HTML tags)?

    I can’t say.

    all that option does is enable the visual editor, I do nothing within that option.

    It works on my test site, which is twenty seventeen with bbpress and style pack.

    The issue may well lie in a theme or plugin conflict, but I can’t fix that for you.

    try

    Plugins

    Deactivate all but bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

    Themes

    If plugins don’t pinpoint the problem, as a test switch to a default theme such as twentyfifteen, and see if this fixes.
