    Hello,

I created Facebook feed and I see my products on Instagram shop, however, the products do not show attributes of the variations. Also, when the product is clicked, the product page does not pick the right variation like color or weight. Could you please tell me what I am missing?

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

Did you check the content of your feed in a browser? Are the product variations even in your feed? And if so, did you make sure that the item_group_id field mapping is still in it and that you added mappings for attributes that set the variations apart, such as size/color/material…and so on?

The above image shows that the products have variations.

The above image shows that the product link is correct with attributes.

The above image shows that the product is not included in the shop. However, I can see the products in my Instagram shop. The below image shows the products in the catalog.

I am just not sure where I am doing wrong. Thanks for your help and time.

In one of the images, there is warning that the item is not included in shop, but in the following image, in Shop tab, all the products are included in the shop.

Sorry, but I also found the following. It does not let me add the variations but only the parent product.

Sorry. Yes, product variations are in my feed. item_group_id is still in it, but I cannot add mappings for attributes. In the following image, you can see there are attributes with custom fields.

satici is one of them and it works, but agirlik and cam is not working as they are similar to satici. The color is also not working.

Can you share your product feed URL with us so we can have a look at it?

    Thanks for this.

I had a look at your feed and noticed that some of the attributes have been added wrongly.

    See: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rdijx6fwuorek9b/color-field-wrong.png?dl=0

In the above screenshot you will find two product variations that belong to the same parent variable product as they have the same item group id value. However you can also tell from the screenshot that the field <color>, although it has different values, has been added wrongly on the field mapping page as the field name really should be <g:color>. Hence, the g: is missing from the field name and as such Google won’t recognise your color field/values.

When you add fields on the field mapping section of our plugin make sure to do so by hitting the orange “+ add field mapping” button and then select the proper value from the left drop-down, in your case that will be color.

    Hope this makes sense?

Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved and our support is no longer required I will close this topic for housekeeping reasons now.

Do not hesitate to reach out to us again in-case you need our help again.
