Validating License via Python

I’m trying to set up SLM to work with a Python program I’m writing. I plan on building the tool into an executable using PyInstaller and doing the licensing through WP SLM. The only thing is I’m hitting a wall regarding how to actually use wp_remote_get through Python. Has anyone successfully done this?

Would it be better to write a small php script and call that through Python?
