I try you plugin on twenty twelve or child theme
Still not working
I am using this with Atahualpa. It does not work. I have selected Use for wordpress Galleries, I have tried everything. the demo works peautifully, but even though I have link to media selected, it still opens in its own page.
Someone Please help
Trying it with twenty twelve. The single image works just fine, but I can’t get it to work with a gallery.
But these videos are great! … if it would only work. I love video tutorials 🙁
I have discovered that in the text window in the [gallery] tag, if you type link=”file” and it works like a charm.

I don’t get it. I entered manually link=”file” on two posts, both with galleries.
In 1 post it works, on the other the gallery doesn’t work, but opens the file in the brwoser …

Hmmmm. Do you have the latest WordPress, Atahualpa and Are you using Lightbox Plus Colorbox? Or are you using the Create Gallery function in the media folder?
– I use WP 3.5.1. (Dutch version)
– Don’t know what Atahualpa is, it’s not listed as a plugin here.
– Yes, the plugin is named Lightbox Plus ColorBox.
-No, I use:
‘insert media’ (while writing the post concept) -> ‘create gallery’ -> ‘upload media’ -> ‘create new gallery’ -> ‘Link to media’** (for every image) -> 2 columns -> insert gallery
(then check in code if there is really link=”file” written)
** two choises: link to mediafile or link to attachmentpage (I tink that what it’s called. It’s all in Dutch and I read in Dutch “Link naar mediabestand” or “Link naar bijlage pagina”)
I could have sworn I replied to this the other day! It sounds to me as if you are doing everything right. I am as puzzled as you. Lets talk about the settings in Lightbox. Do you have Slideshow ticked under Settings?
As for Atahualpa, that is my error, it is the WordPress theme I always use.
I guess what I would do at this point would be to go through all the settings, clicking the ? next to every one that I was uncertain about. How frustrating for you.
I think I have figured it out.
When published it now works (but I have to manualy add link=”file” at every post)
BUT: when I look at a concept preview,
or modify a published post and look at the preview,
or look at a post that is planned in the future,
the lightbox doesn’t work.
Only when published, then it works …

You just blew my head off. I am not that programmer literate, a so your whole last sentence made me want to run away screaming
I guess what you have to do is:
1. put it in every post, which is stupid, or
2. email the developer with your problem. and PLEASE let us know what they say
