Update notification stops website functionalities

    Hi, we are using blocksy agency as a base for our custom theme on a High demand website/websites. (1M /month visitor)

    And we just facing with this issue that, when an update comes for blocksy, the theme will “turn off” and the companion functionalities not working till you update it!

    What is this issue? How can we disable this restriction? It’s not a joke for a high demand website to lose functionalities because of an update release notification…

    Hello @bocinet

    This is actually not a problem at all. Both the main theme and its Companion plugin must be on the same version at all times for all features to work correctly, since code from one depends on the other. It would be required to update both parts at the same time, in order to ensure a smooth experience.

    What you’re experiencing sounds, to me, like you may have turned on auto updates for just one part of the Blocksy package. It would either be required to turn on automatic updates for both parts (theme + plugin), or turn them off and manually update both parts at the same time.
