@ryanvandyke – In order for us to have any idea what may be happening on your site we would likely need to get a closer look. Please submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) with your specific issue(s) noted.
We would probably need to get a set of log in credentials for your WordPress installation and possibly FTP credentials as well. You can include these on the Bug Report.

I emailed you back the requested information via the ticket on October 7th. Were you able to discover anything?
Ditto. I did the same thing, no answer, rolling back.
2 weeks and still no response…So much for the thought of nextgen pro.
ryanvandyke, your site and images are well and visible, and 500 internal server error, as the name implies, is a (often temporarily) server error, not a plugin error.
You and your hosting have to discover something, looking at error log.
Probably the server “sat down” for an excessive consumption of resources with the plugin update, but the error is server side.
@ryanvandyke – I see you submitted a Bug Report (thanks!) and we responded with a request for log in credentials, but I do not see a response to that email.

@photocrati, I replied to your email with credentials on October 7th, I can resend if it will make it easier to locate. Since I hav downgraded to 1.9x I will update again to the latest version of the plugin for replication of the issue..
@tizz, I have since downgraded from 2.0 so the site was usable on any page that used pictures. Server 500 likes to popup when there is an issue such as connecting to the database not typically with plugins. However in this case it is clear correlation as to Server 500 error and version 2.x of this plugin.
@ryanvandyke – If you could re-reply to that email it would be much easier for me to find and look into this further.

I replied to the original email and updated the plugin back to the most updated version and left it disabled.

It appears this could be related to the PHP Memory Limit in your hosting environment, please ensure it is at least 128MB if not higher (we prefer 256 if possible).

I updated the memory limit to 128MB and everything worked! So I increased again to 256MG to be sure it works in the future. Thank you so mucgh for the help in getting this issue resolved.
